Following 20 years spent at Yves Saint Laurent, Elisabeth Schmitt founded Maison Vaincourt in 2011. Recognizing the need for exquisitely and meticulously crafted belts, she seized the opportunity and launched a collection of leather belts featuring hand polished brass buckles made by the Atelier Daguet, one of France's few remaining leather craftsmen.
Maison Vaincourt belts are made from vegetable tanned leather, free of chromium so as to avoid skin reactions. Each piece is hand-dyed and glossed and is sealed with beeswax to ensure a high level of water resistance.
Considered indispensable and timeless, Maison Vaincourt belts have achieved cult status among enthusiasts and collectors.
