Hilton Hollis was born in Natchez, Mississippi where his love of sewing and art first began. In 1997, Hollis moved to New York and studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology where he developed his expertise in garment design and construction. Post-school, Hollis trained with famed designers Dana Buchman, John Bartlett and Calvin Klein, so he knows just how to cut a sharp dress, jacket or suit and then embellish it with just a dash of fur, metallic, leather or lace.
It is just this fusion of lady-like polish and sexy, modern edge that allows Hollis’ frocks to transition with ease from the corporate world to a cocktail. He has established himself as an artist of fashion. In addition to his work in the fashion industry, Hollis frequently serves as a guest lecturer and design critic at F.I.T. and Auburn University and contributes his time to numerous charitable organizations.
