Made by Hand
We all want to connect the jewelry that touches our heart with the hands of the artisan who made it. Feel the time-worn grooves of a workbench. Observe nimble fingers magically transform metal into an art piece.
This is “Made by Hand”, a Rue Pigalle journey into the artisanal soul of London. As we uncover the secrets of the city, we’ll meet virtuoso artists in their sacred spaces and learn what makes them tick. We’ll get lost in a hive of studios that buzzes with creativity, poke about in vibrant markets, and be treated to privileged ‘behind the curtain’ tours of major art institutions. You will even get to roll up your sleeves as you create your very own jewelry. From the traditional to the quirky to the jaw-droppingly cool, we will explore every conceivable facet of the life of the artisan—the importance of made by hand, the practice of made by hand, the intellectual side of made by hand.
Think London, think galleries, restaurants, shopping, celebrated masters and famous studios every day.
